About Us
Recovering Sinners in a not-for-profit ministry that was founded in 2023 to help get God’s Word out into the communities in the hope to change others lives, as it has changed ours. The ministry goal is to help plant seeds in hearts that may lead them to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The motto “…feeding the people.” is in reference to feeding peoples body and soul.
We are so blessed and thankful to the Lord our God for allowing us the ability to have this ministry and to help build His Kingdom.
What do we do?
Our ministry is set up in a public place (with permits) and we serve the public free hamburgers, chips and cold drinks. We give away free Bibles, have a prayer box (for those who are timid or want to remain anonymous), and worship music. At times, when available, we also have a speaker(s) to give a mini sermon or testimony.
How are we funded?
Recovering Sinners is fully funded by donations. This is monetary as well as goods donated for upcoming outreach. We have been blessed enough to receive donations and/or have been able to privately fund all outreaches. We also sell Recovering Sinners T-shirts to help raise funds for future outreaches, cover permit costs and to eventually put our ministry in 501(c)(3) status.
How can you volunteer?
We are grateful to our volunteers at every outreach! Volunteer opportunities are needed in a variety of ways including (but not limited to): set up/break down, servers, prayer warriors, grill chefs, speakers, etc. Please note that servers, grill chefs or anyone handling food will need to have a food handlers certificate/card. This is an average cost of $7-12 that lasts 2 years. This is required by the city when handling food.
If you would like to volunteer, please feel free to reach out to us with the outreach you are available, and we will reach out to you with more information.
How to get your food handler’s certificate:
· Visit www.statefoodsafety.com
· Click on dropdown “Get Started Now”
· Follow the remaining instructions to obtain certificate/card.
We would love to hear from you! Feel free to send us a note with any questions, concerns or suggestions you may have.
